MONDAY - VISIT THE ZOO

How important is an animal's habitat? What do you need to know about an animal to build it a proper habitat? What might happen if an animals habitat is destroyed?

3.  Visit the San Diego Zoosdzwildlifeexplorers.org/videos and explore the different exhibits. How can you learn about different animals?

TUESDAY: BUILD AN ANIMAL
I can follow a video to build a Lego animal.

2. Your Challenge this week. Build a Lego animal and realistic habitat for that animal that meets all of its survival needs.

3. Build an animal. You will get a container with the Legos to build a specific animal. Once you know your animal, build it by following the online video from my LEGO BUILDING PAGE. 
4. Keep your animal in the back cabinet for safe keeping. View these websites for your animal.

WEDNESDAY - RESEARCH HABITATS
I can do research to learn about my animal's needs.

2. What habitat does your animal live in? What does it need to eat? What kind of shelter does it need? Use the websites to complete this worksheet. Use the links below to help you learn more about your animal's needs. You may watch videos and draw pictures to help you complete this task.

​THURSDAY -  BUILDING YOUR HABITAT
I can build a habitat for my animal.
1. Find the words in the puzzle.

2. ODD NUMBER SEATS WILL GO FIRST.  (20 MINUTES) Build your habitat. Make it as realistic as possible. It will need to be in the correct climate, have shelter, have food, and whatever else your research says it needs to survive.
