MONDAY - WELCOME TO SCRATCH

2. Review of Scratch. Look at the terms below.
3. This game is called, Down the River. Use the left and right arrow to make the boat turn. Steer it down the river to the end. I cannot embed the games anymore from Scratch. You will need to download the files and then open it from your computer into the program. Watch the videos below first.
How does this game work? What is the Sprite? How does the Sprite move? When does the game end? What happens if you hit a wall?
4. Go to your own computer. Download the file. Then open Scratch from the desktop. Click on "Load from your Computer". Play the game, then see if you can modify it. Make it harder or easier. How can you have it say something when the game is over? Can you add sounds?

TUESDAY - CROSS THE ROAD

2. Look at the game, Cross the Road. Notice how the car is upside down. I will show you how to fix this.

4. Download the file for this game. Open the game and fix the car. Then add a second car by duplicating the first one. Then change it's costume to look different, but it will have the same code.

WEDNESDAY - BRICK BOUNCER
I can remix a game to make it my own.
1. Do lesson 8, b n
2. Today you will remix the game, Brick Bouncer. That means you will change some of the game features to make it more of a game you like with different characters, settings, colors, point values, time, speed, etc.

3. Your challenge: Choose different Sprites. Draw or select a background. Modify a variable in at least 1 way. The game must still work! Save it before you leave.
4. Log off the computers. Sit quietly until it is time to line up.
THURSDAY - HELICOPTER PILOT GAME

2. Download the Helicopter Pilot game. Modify the game. You use the UP arrow to fly the copter.

2. You may have free time on pmasterson.net. You may also work on your Scratch games. You can build with your Lego box.
