1 pair of scissors
1 foot of masking tape

Chains will be clipped from one end to the opening in the middle of the room and the rest will hang down. Will your team have the longest chain?

5. Clean Up and Line-Up
I would like a classroom helper for the week. Any volunteers? You must be someone who is willing to clean up, especially before everyone else so you have time to get name tags, put out next class name tags, etc.

TUESDAY - PRE-ASSESSMENT
I can change computer settings on my computer.
1. Typing Club
2. Pre-Assessment. I will read it aloud. Wait for others to catch up.
3. Get your journals for this year.
Watch the video while you wait to get your journal.
Open your journal to the first STEM Challenge page. Follow along as we fill it in for your first Design Challenge if we have time.
4. Close your journal for collecting. Return your pencil to it's holder.
Log off the computers. Get lined up quietly. Stand on your numbers quietly, please.
Helpers, please collect all the journals and name tags.
WEDNESDAY - 3D SCRIBBLER
I can plan a STEM project
1. Wash hands. Build the puzzle.
2. Intro to 3D Doodler.
3. Today will be practice day. It takes a while to get used to holding the pen. Things to practice:
Start and stop the filament from extruding
Make straight and curved lines.
Rotate the object as you are working
Connect individual pieces together to make one object
Use different colors from your table mates, so you can trade and make multi-colored objects.
4. Clean Up and put materials away. Listen for instructions.
5. Log off your computers and get ready to line up.
THURSDAY - PLAN AND DESIGN
I can design and build something with a 3D pen.
1. Wash hands and get name tag and journal.
2. Open your journal to where we left off the other day, or page 1.
3. Your STEM Challenge for this week. Design a 3D object that will serve a purpose.
Examples could be: To identify my bag, create jewelry I can wear, make a Christmas ornament for my tree.
You will need to have your ASK, IMAGINE, and PLAN all filled in before you may use a pen today.
4. Please remind me to take photos while you are working or with your completed project.
5. Time to clean up. Be sure to log off your computers and wait to get lined up.
FRIDAY - FINISH YOUR PROJECTS & Journals
1. Wash hands, get your name tag and your journal.
2. Today you will finish your 3D project. Make sure I took a photo of you for this project. If I have them printed out, you are to tape it into your journal in the Create box.
Be sure to answer the Improve section questions.
