2. The origins of the zipline. Read about the history and uses of a zipline.

3. STEM challenge. Discuss with your group how you will build this trolley. Once you all agree, you may begin building.
4. If you finished early, you may do the activities below.
TUESDAY: BUILD AND TEST A TROLLEY
Students: I can build with my team a trolley to test on a zip line.
1. View the pictures below of some real tram sky rides.

2. Move to your groups. Finish your plan and then built the trolley car for the zip line. You may want to try tests by itself or just one lego person. Until you have a good working trolley don't use all the Lego Minifigs.
3. If you are ready to test on the zip line, raise your hand. After testing, return to your seats and record how it did. Then make adjustments and improvements.
4. If you are finished and have a good trolley, you may put your stuff away for today. We will do an activity with them tomorrow. Once cleaned up, you may do the activities below.
WEDNESDAY: TROLLEY TESTS
Students: I can make prediction about my trolley.
1. Play Keyboard Climber and see if you can make it to the moon.
2. Here is something to think about.
3. If the zipline was lowered, would your trolley travel faster or slower? How can we prove it? What would we need to do this?
4. We will test your trolleys on 2 different heights and time them both. When we are finished, we will make a graph to show the class results.
5. If we finished with all the groups, you may do the activities below.
THURSDAY: ZIPLINE ACTIVITY CONTINUED
Students: I can write a review about this weeks activity.

3. Make a picture of your zip line trolley going down the line. Write a short paragraph about the activity.

FRIDAY: FREE FUN FRIDAY
Objective: Students will improve their typing skills.
1. Please play the game and get to the moon before you start your free time.
2. Free Fun Friday Time. You may do activities from pmasterson.net.
